Huub J. M. Rutten, IM Architect
Huub is the founder and sole proprietor of Innovation Management Architects. His Innovation Management expertise has grown over several decades by working with global enterprises, designing and implementing governance charters, processes and data models.
His scientific background is in linguistic and cognitive sciences; he started his career in teaching, teacher training, and school-book writing. After that he spent several years at the European Institute of Public Administration as Associate Professor for Information Policies and worked with the European Commission. In 1993, Huub founded PolyDoc, which was IPO-ed in 1997, then renamed Sopheon, a well-known brand that delivered Innovation Management solutions globally to many companies in several industries.
Experiences with Innovation Management customers and partners have shaped his wealth of expertise in the field, theoretically as well as operationally. Specific attention has been given to management methodologies that realize tangible organic growth from innovation investments. Today his focus is on modernizing IM methodologies to be able to cope with the economic paradigm shift caused by AI technology.
Huub is a well-known speaker and discussion leader at Innovation Management events. It is his passion to work with companies and their stakeholders to optimize their IM processes to be lean, fast and competitive, which is, in the new AI era, a fascinating challenge.
